In Ischaemic stroke, the blood vessel is mainly blocked and that also interrupts the supply of blood in the brain. On the other hand, Haemorrhagic stroke mainly occurs when a blood vessel bleeds and ruptures in the brain (Chsselearning.org.uk, 2022). Therefore, it has been observed that in Ischaemic stroke, in the artery a clot can be formed and narrowed arteries from the cholesterol deposits and these are common reasons for a block of blood in the brain. The knowledge of this course module will help me to help individuals, in case, a person has been affected by TIA on the road, and therefore, I can call 999 for the proper treatment of the person. I can also suggest a person reduce risk factors arising from the TIA and also take primary care of the patients to follow proper follow-up. On the other hand, it is also necessary to understand the causes of TIA and through this, treatment can be started after identification of the immediate stroke risk.
I have further observed the process of stroke diagnosis and I have observed that as a medical practitioner obtaining the careful information and background of the patient and their family. After that, an appropriate physical examination needs to be conducted of the patient and adequate tests also need to be conducted such as slurred speech, visual problems and a test for limb weakness.
